In the month of December, the Student Council (STUCO) at Guadalupe Centers Middle School embarked on a mission to make the holidays brighter for local families in need. STUCO organized a Holiday Gram fundraiser for classmates and staff to spread cheer throughout the school. Funds collected went towards purchasing resources for Guadalupe Center's Adopt a Family campaign. The initiative aims to provide families in the Kansas City area with not only essential items but also a festive holiday experience.
When asked why STUCO chose this project, one student, Paola, stated, "We chose to do this to help out families in need so that they can have a good and warm Christmas."
Keri, another GCMS student, said, "Our community is why we’re in STUCO in the first place, whether our school community or neighborhood community. We chose to do this because we, as community members, are in charge of taking care of each other."
Great work, GCMS!
