Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am delighted to introduce myself as the new principal of Guadalupe Centers Elementary School. I was born and raised in Veracruz, Mexico. My journey in educational leadership has been shaped by my experiences as Instructional Coach, mentor teacher, K-8 Vice-principal, and K-5 Principal. I am thrilled to join the Guadalupe Centers Elementary School family and look forward to getting to know each of you.
I also want to introduce you to our administrative team: Elementary Assistant Principals Lineth Posada and Elizabeth Marentes, along with our Early Childhood Principal Alex Thiessen. Together, we are committed to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for every student.
The administrator team wants to extend a warm welcome to all of our new and returning families. We hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer, and are as excited as we are to begin a new school year filled with opportunities for learning and growth.
As we continue our dedication to providing all students with a quality educational experience, We want to take a moment to emphasize the critical importance of daily attendance for your child’s success and overall development. We encourage you to prioritize your child’s daily attendance as much as possible. If you need any assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We open our doors to welcome students beginning at 7:05 for breakfast, and school starts promptly at 7:30 daily. Dismissal takes place at 2:35 daily.
Our school-wide theme for the 24-25 school year is “The Future of the World is in this School”. Our dedicated team of administrators, teachers, and staff are passionate about education and are here to support your child's journey every step of the way. We will keep you informed through regular newsletters, our school website, and social media channels. We encourage you to be an active participant in your child's education, whether through volunteering, attending school events, or simply staying informed about what is happening in the classroom.
On Thursday, August 15th, we will have an important, required Family Conference from 8:30 A.M to 6:30 P.M. Each family will sign up for a 30 minute time slot within those hours ( you’ll be receiving a SignUp Genius link from your child’s teacher soon). On that day you can meet your child’s teacher, drop off school supplies, and hear important information for the school year. Enclosed you will find a calendar for the academic school year (keep this handy!), annual parent-pick up car signs that are required when picking your student up from school, as well as an informational flier. On our website you will find school supply lists per grade level and other pertinent information.
